The Townhouse Tasmania

Bright and colourful 1840's Victorian terrace nestled in the heart of historic Launceston, The Townhouse is the perfect base to discover the charms of the Northern Tasmania. 

The Townhouse is a free standing double brick three story home, featuring two large bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and spacious living all with original period features linked with a gorgeous original Blackwood staircase between the multiple levels. The bedrooms have luxurious king beds that can be separated into singles on request. 

You will find yourselves wanting to stay cuddled up in the soft 100% linen covers, listening to the sounds of Launceston as the light filters through the billowing sheer curtains. A freshly modernised kitchen with all you need to cook up a culinary delight from locally sourced ingredients sits at the back of the property where the large double hung windows stream light. Open the door to a tastefully designed courtyard leading to an outdoor dining space, a perfect location to sip your evening G & T.  

A cosy light filled central dining room just off the kitchen is the ideal place enjoy a home cooked meal and a glass of local wine around the oak dining table. Upstairs featured an expansive living room with original features and a closed in verandah/sunroom that looks across at one of the Launceston's oldest churches and further along to leafy Princes Square Park. Unwind from your day of sightseeing or business on our comfy three seat sofa, or curl up with a good book on the day beds in the sunroom. Don't worry, if you'd prefer to lose yourself in a thrilling Netflix series or movie, the flatscreen TV will embrace your needs. On the bottom floor the small laundry features a large washing machine for you to use at your peril. 

 Launceston is one of Australia's oldest and well preserved cities, home to some of our most elegant Colonial and Victorian architecture. It is a vibrant city boasting a flare for food, wine, culture and nature and all within a stones throw from town. To the North, the Tamar Valley is one of our premium wine-growing regions where you can meander through the trails tasting some of Australia's best sparkling and pinot wines. Head South along the Heritage Highway to the most picturesque heritage villages of Evandale, Longford, Campbell Town and Ross. Launceston is the ideal base to discover our island state and immerse yourself in everything it has to offer. The Townhouse is right in the centre of Launceston with most of our local sightseeing attractions and fabulous cafes and restaurants all within walking distance. There is also an extensive public transport bus system available, with the bus stop just across the road. Alternatively, for the freedom to discover beyond Launceston, a car hire place is located just three doors up.

Unfortunately does not have disable access and is not wheelchair friendly. There are many stairs inside.
